About My Militaria Collection
For over five years, I have been a dedicated private collector of militaria, developing a solid general knowledge of the field during this time.
My passion for all things military, especially World War II, began at a very young age. I vividly remember the excitement of watching classic war films such as A Bridge Too Far, The Eagle Has Landed, The Bridge at Remagen, The Great Escape, The Guns of Navarone, and Zulu.
Having two brothers who were equally passionate about military history only fuelled my interest. My twin brother was fascinated by earlier periods, particularly the American Civil War, the American Indian Wars, especially the US Cavalry, and the Anglo-Zulu Wars. My eldest brother preferred the Napoleonic Wars.
My Collection
My collection primarily includes uniforms, field equipment, headgear, and footwear, with a focus on World War II. However, I have also branched out into other periods and conflicts. A significant portion of my collection consists of reproductions unless otherwise stated. Acquiring original items from various historical periods would not have been practical or financially viable. My main goal is to document the different types of uniforms worn by various armies across numerous conflicts and time periods.
Purpose of the Website
This website was created to share my interest in WWII militaria and my collection with fellow military historians and collectors, as well as anyone interested in military history. I aim to document various uniforms and kits, similar to the collections you find on museum websites like the Imperial War Museum in London.
The website also serves as an inventory for my collection and facilitates the sale of items. Potential buyers can preview my collection before I list items on eBay (see the Selling section below).
Selling
I am in the process of downsizing my militaria collection to make room for future projects. Interested buyers can contact me directly via email or find my listings on eBay at the following address:
I am currently selling on eBay but I am looking to build my own Ecommerce website where users can make purchases directly on my website.
Non-Political Statement
This site is for historical purposes only and is not intended to glorify the tragic events of World War II or any other conflict. AD Militaria does not support or condone any individuals, groups, or organizations that are intolerant, racist, or violent.
